Quick Start

Get up and running with Opus in under 5 minutes.

Creating an Account

  1. Go to app.opus.phd
  2. Click Sign Up
  3. Sign in with your Google or GitHub account
  4. You're in!

Institutional Users

If your institution has an Opus deployment, use your institutional SSO instead.

The Dashboard

After signing in, you'll see your dashboard with two main sections:

  • Manuscripts - Your academic documents (papers, theses, reports)
  • Presentations - Your slide decks

Click New Manuscript or New Presentation to create a new document.

Your First Document

  1. Click New Manuscript
  2. Give it a title
  3. Start writing!

The editor shows your Markdown on the left and a live preview on the right. As you type, the preview updates instantly.
